Loving with Purpose, “So What’s It About?
This was the question asked over and over at my most recent events; an expo and a fundraiser.
If you’ve ever wondered what my book, Loving with Purpose, is about, let me tell you…
Because of the title I chose (Loving with Purpose), many people believe it might be a religious book. It is not. It is a relationship book.
A book about the relationship you have with yourself and with others.
With that said, I do share small pieces of God in my book, (e.g. Chapter 12: Touchy Topics), but mainly you will read about you and your relationships; a self-help book aimed at helping people find peace and happiness within themselves and with each other.
This does not mean I won’t share religious viewpoints on my website…in my own way. Mostly, from the words of spiritual and religious leaders who I’ve come to respect and trust. I believe, without a doubt, that my life, that the relationship I have with myself, is totally defined by the ways of God.
For this reason, I share what I find helpful, to me and for others, on my website, Loving with Purpose, and other media outlets. God is a part of Loving with Purpose. It has to be…since my belief system is based on His words. Sure, I don’t do anything to perfection; no one does, but I learn more every day and want to share what I find useful.
Although I knew some people didn’t really understand what the book was about, through my most recent expo and fundraiser events, I learned that for certain. I needed to let people know.
I felt it necessary to share the fact that Loving with Purpose, my book, is not based on religion. It is, however, based on personal awareness, self-worth, and success…and although I talk very little about God in the book, I know He is a big part of our journey.
So, that’s it! I just wanted to give more clarity to you about the purpose of my book, Loving with Purpose. I hope you take the time to pick up a copy and check it out for yourself.

Excerpt from Loving with Purpose on Loaning
EXPECTED RETURNS: THE VALUE OF A LOAN
People are miles apart on the opinion of loaning possessions out. Some people “lend it and forget it,” while many others have the expectation of retrieving their items because they see the value in what they own. If you teach children to return what they borrow, they carry that lesson with them through life, and they learn to value and appreciate what others have worked to acquire.

An Excerpt from Loving with Purpose
BUILDING CHARACTER IN KIDS
Society is changing rapidly. If you think back just a short time ago, you can see how different the world has become in just the last few years. The big issues in schools, in my time, were whether a child was chewing gum, cutting class, or fighting with another kid in school. Of course, there were other, more severe, issues, but they weren’t the majority. Today, you hear more about drug and alcohol abuse, guns, assaults, incest, and rape. With so much more opportunity for kids to go down the wrong path, you probably have concerns about your children’s future.
